| Binah: This is the first sephira on the opposite side of the Great Abyss (upon the Pillar of Rigor), and is known as the Supreme Mother. It is associated with the great planet Saturn, known to the Greeks as Chronos - the God of Time. Binah is also associated with the metal lead, reinforcing the idea that time can have a deadly aspect to it (as opposed to the positive aspect - Eternal Life!). The path to Binah is a long one, as it is the first Kingdom in the world of Atziluth - the world of the Eternities... |
