| Tiphereth: In the Qabala, the Sixth Kingdom is the Kingdom of the Sun - it represents the center of one's spiritual being, just as the Sun is the center of our Solar System (some Christian Mystics call Tiphereth the Kingdom of the Son, as Jesus Christ has long been seen to have many associations with the great Solar orb and with its purifying energies). In alchemy, Tiphereth is represented by the metal gold, which has the same color as the Sun. Tiphereth is the first sephira in the world of Briah, and is located on the Central Pillar of the Tree of Life - this, combined with its direct connections to a majority of the other Kingdoms, makes it conspicuous as the Sephira of Balance. Tiphereth is also represented by the Lion (another association with Jesus...), who's golden coat can be converted into the Golden Fleece when the King of the Jungle bathes himself in the alchemical King's Bath ('Aqua Vitae' - the Water of Life)... |
